Why do you need our services?

Dr Phil (Phil C. McGraw, Phd) said it best in the July 2005 issue of the Oprah Magazine: "You can't give away what you don't have. Without a peaceful, well-rested, loving, tender spirit, you're in no position to be nurturing to your family and friends. We're like bank accounts. If we make only withdrawals (carpooling, working late, helping out a friend), we wind up emotionally and physically bankrupt. We all must make regular deposits to our minds, souls and bodies. You must take time for you."

Having just an hour of quiet time dedicated to your wellbeing by having a massage to relax and recharge or a treatment to alleviate and recover from your discomfort,  is probably one of the best way to make a DEPOSIT into your bank of wellbeing.

What to look for in a therapist?

Healing with a therapist is always a two-party contract that depends on:

♥ The skills, knowledge, experience and intention of the practitioner/therapist.

♥ The receptivity of the client.

Ask if he/she is certified or licensed and find someone who has experience with your type of condition. Trust your intuition and if possible get referrals from others you trust.

What type of massage or treatment is suitable for your prevailing body condition?

♥ The first step is to be clear in your own mind what your goals are. Being aware of your goals will guide you in choosing the type of therapy that is best for you.

♥ Trust your intuition about who and what is right for you.

♥ Familiarize yourself with different approaches. Read and talk with others.

What kind of results are you seeking?

♥ To regain balance and coordination.

♥ To release tension and reduce accumulated stress.

♥ To restore impaired system functions.

♥ To improve flexibilty and range of mobility.

So is it very important to check if the therapists are certified and qualified? Of course it is! These people are going to work on your body, manipulating your muscles, bone structures, organs, etc. Wouldn't you want someone who is properly trained for the job and knows the anatomy and physiology of your body. Then after an initial session, consider if you are comfortable with the therapist's touch and does your body feel better after the session.
